Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must possess a valid domicile certificate from any of the North Eastern Region states including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Tripura.
• Candidates must have passed the 12th standard and be newly admitted to the first year of an undergraduate degree programme in a recognized university, college, or institution.
• The total annual income of the student's parents must not exceed Rs. 4.5 lakh per annum.
• Courses must be pursued through regular or full-time mode; open, distance, correspondence, private, or part-time mode courses are ineligible.
• Students admitted through management quota, those pursuing diploma courses not leading to a degree, or those already availing any other scholarship are disqualified.

Salary / Financial Benefits

• ₹5,400/- per month for students pursuing general degree courses.
• ₹7,800/- per month for students pursuing technical, professional, medical, and paramedical courses.

Selection Process

• Slots are distributed among the North Eastern states based on the latest population census data.
• Unfilled slots due to a lack of eligible candidates in a particular state are distributed equitably amongst other states.
• Reservations for Persons with Disability (PwD) are applied according to Government of India norms.
