ℹ How age is calculated for government jobs
For most government recruitments, your age is counted as on a fixed cut-off date given in the notification — commonly 1 January of the recruitment year — and not the last date to apply. Enter that cut-off date above to get the exact figure the recruiter will use.
Reserved categories usually get an upper-age relaxation: typically 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC/MOBC, and up to 10 years for PwBD candidates. Ex-servicemen and women may get additional relaxation depending on the rules of the recruiting body.
