Eligibility Criteria
- For Medical & Health Officer-I (M&HO-I): Candidates must not be less than 21 years and more than 38 years of age as on 01/01/2026, with upper age relaxation for reserved categories as per rules.
- For Registrar / Demonstrator / Resident Physician etc.: Candidates must be between 21 and 45 years of age as on 01.01.2026, with age relaxation of 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) irrespective of category.
- M&HO-I Qualification: Minimum MBBS degree from a recognized university under the Medical Council of India (MCI) and registration under the Assam Medical Council.
- Registrar / Demonstrator Qualification (Broad Specialty): Post Graduate qualification MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject, or MS (Anatomy) / MSc (Medical Anatomy) with PhD in Medical Anatomy, or MD (Biochemistry) / MSc (Medical Biochemistry) with PhD in Medical Biochemistry, or MD (Physiology) / MSc (Medical Physiology) with PhD in Medical Physiology.
- Registrar / Demonstrator Qualification (Super Specialty): MD/DNB in General Medicine for Medical Super Specialty, MS/DNB in General Surgery for Surgical Super Specialty, with preference given to candidates having DM/M.Ch./DNB in the concerned super specialty subject.
Salary / Financial Benefits
- Medical & Health Officer-I (M&HO-I): Scale of pay of Rs. 30,000/- – 1,10,000/- plus Grade Pay Rs. 12,700/- and other allowances as admissible under the rules.
- Registrar / Demonstrator / Resident Physician etc.: Scale of pay of Rs. 57,700/- – Rs. 1,82,400/- PM (Academic level 10) plus other allowances as admissible under rules.
