Eligibility Criteria
- Graduate Teacher (Arts): Arts or Commerce Graduate / Post Graduate from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in either Graduation or Post Graduation, along with a B.Ed. degree from an NCTE recognized institution.
- Graduate Teacher (Science): Science Graduate or Post Graduate from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in either Graduation or Post Graduation, along with a B.Ed. degree from an NCTE recognized institution.
- Graduate Teacher (Hindi): Pravin/Ratna in Hindi with 50% marks and degree qualification with 50% marks, or Post Graduate degree in Arts with 50% marks, or BA with 50% marks having Hindi as a subject, along with a B.T. / B.Ed. degree.
- Graduate Teacher (Sanskrit): Shastri with 50% marks and degree qualification with 50% marks, or Post Graduate degree in Arts with 50% marks, or BA with 50% marks having Sanskrit as a subject, along with a B.T. / B.Ed. degree.
- Graduate Teacher (Santali): Arts Graduate or Post Graduate with at least 50% marks and B.Ed., along with passing HSLC or equivalent with Santali language or holding a diploma in Santali Language.
- Post Graduate Teacher (PGT): Post Graduate in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks from a recognized university and a B.Ed. qualification from an NCTE recognized institution (distance/off-campus degrees not valid).
- Medium-specific requirements: Candidates must meet specific language proficiency standards based on whether they apply for Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, Bodo, or English medium schools.
Salary / Financial Benefits
- Graduate Teacher (GT): Rs. 14,000/- to 70,000/- including Grade Pay of Rs. 8,700/- PM under Pay Band-2 plus admissible allowances.
- Post Graduate Teacher (PGT): Rs. 22,000/- to 97,000/- including Grade Pay of Rs. 11,800/- PM under Pay Band-3 plus admissible allowances.

- TET-cum-Recruitment Test (Written examination carrying 140 marks covering Pedagogy, About Assam and Its People, and General English)
- Award of additional marks for NCC certificates, state-level sports representations, fine arts/cultural activities, previous TET qualifications, and contractual teaching experience
